Welcome to the Global Leaderboards and Hall of Fame! Here, you can trace, analyze, and compare the scores, completion times, and guess metrics of top word-game players around the world. Competitive word gaming has seen a massive surge, transforming daily puzzle-solving from a private hobby into a global community challenge. By providing real-time standings, our leaderboards allow players to showcase their lexical mastery, spelling speed, and strategic thinking.
Our leaderboards are powered by a modern serverless database (Convex) and secure authentication (Clerk). Every time you complete a daily puzzle or submit an unlimited high score, the game client communicates with our API endpoints to log your achievements. Whether you are solving Wordle in Hindi, tracing boggle paths in Squares, spelling honeycomb pangrams in Spell Bee, grouping synonyms in Connections, or binary-narrowing in Closeword, you can log your score and trace your rank globally.
Scoring Frameworks Across Different Games
Each game on our dashboard utilizes a custom-tailored scoring algorithm designed to reflect the difficulty and skill required to win:
- Wordle (Guess Minimization): Ranked primarily on guess count. Solving a 5-letter word in 2 attempts is scored significantly higher than solving it in 5. If players share the same guess count, the rankings resolve ties based on completion speed (seconds elapsed).
- Closeword (Boundary Squeeze Efficiency): Scored based on the number of alphabetical guesses required to lock down the target. Players who divide the alphabet cleanly (using binary search tactics) will find the word in fewer attempts, securing a higher rank.
- Spell Bee (Honeycomb Vocabulary Count): Ranked by total accumulated points. Points are awarded based on word length (longer words get more points) plus massive bonuses for locating Pangrams.
- Connections (Theme Grouping): Evaluated based on remaining attempts. Grouping all 16 words with 0 mistakes secures the highest rating tier.
- Squares (Grid Pathfinding): Calculated from total points found in the letter matrix. Players who trace long words (8+ letters) get large multipliers that push them to the top of the board.
Speedrunning Word Puzzles: Strategy for Competitive Play
If you are aiming to rank in the Top 10 of our Hall of Fame, consider these competitive strategies:
- Sign In to Lock Your Profile: Unauthenticated submissions are grouped, but signing in with Clerk secures your unique username, avatar, and prevents score tampering, ensuring your daily stats history is tracked correctly.
- Practice Word Lists Offline: Solvers and anagram generators are great practice. Knowing letter frequencies (like E, T, A, O, I, N in English) helps you form starting words that eliminate candidates quickly.
- Focus on Verb Tenses and Plurals: In games like Spell Bee and Squares, finding root words is only half the battle. Systematically append suffixes (like ED, ING, S) to multiply your score count in seconds.
- Track the Daily Seed Release: The global leaderboard resets its daily challenges at midnight. Playing the seed early gives you a clean view of the daily competition and secures early rankings before the board gets crowded.
Linguistic Diversity and Ranking Filters
Because we support 23 global languages, standard rankings are highly versatile. You can apply filters to view standings for specific languages, game modes, and word sizes. This allows players to compete in their native languages—such as Spanish, French, German, Italian, Turkish, or Hindi—ensuring a fair, globally inclusive competitive environment.
